Recently, our company successfully delivered a batch of heating plates with arc-shaped cavities to a German customer through the precise processing of CNC horizontal end face milling. Its feature is that the solid part of the groove between the deep holes is also processed into an arc shape, and the welded cover plate is also arc-shaped. In this way, the heat-conducting medium almost completely flows in the heating plate in a form similar to that of a water pipe. After actual use by the customer, When the heat transfer oil flows through the arc corner, it flows more smoothly and will not cause obvious turbulence or blockage. It helps maintain the uniformity of the flow rate and volume of the heat transfer oil and improves the heat exchange efficiency. The traditional right-angle turn will cause obvious turbulence and backflow of the heat transfer oil at the right Angle, increasing energy loss. It is prone to cause local overheating or the formation of cold zones, thereby affecting the overall temperature uniformity of the hot runner. Long-term use may cause sediment accumulation and increase the difficulty of maintenance. The arc corner design can better maintain the uniform temperature distribution of the heat transfer oil when it flows through the hot runner, avoiding the temperature gradient difference caused by the local flow rate reduction, thereby improving the overall temperature control accuracy of the mold. The right-angle rotation Angle may reduce the heat conduction efficiency due to the local flow velocity slowing down. The arc corner may be slightly more complex in mechanical processing, but its design can more effectively reduce the daily maintenance cost of the hot runner system. Although right-angle corners are easy to process, they may require more cleaning work during long-term use and are prone to malfunction.
